A Night Splint for Plantar Faciitis is used to put a passive stretch on the plantar facia tendon.  This passive stretching is done at night, when the tendon is most likely to tense up.

The Night Splint for Plantar Faciitis comes in a Dorsal Night Splint model which is worn on top of the foot, a Posterior Night Splint model worn like a shoe with straps, a Baker Night Splint Model which doesn't have the clumsy tension straps but places the foot at 90 degrees, and the Daytime Plantar Faciitis Wrap which gives a passive stretch to the tendon throughout the day and is worn with your regular shoes.
