United Surgical Adjustable Night Splint
The night splint was delivered quickly and it performs as advertised. I do not find any problem sleeping with it and my heel spur feels much better. I prefer to wear a sock with the splint. The quality is excellent and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.

helps my plantar fasciitis
This brace looked too big and bulky, but I ordered it because of all the reviews. My left heel has been killing me and I couldn't walk in the morning and now I can without grasping for things to hold on to. The first night, I didn't tighten it or make any adjustments, just to see how it would be to sleep in it. It really doesn't bother me at all to sleep in it, strangely, and I sleep on either side. The second night, I made adjustments and put the toe wedge in, and in the morning, I had no pain at all and could walk. It doesn't help me like that, every morning, but it helps much more than not wearing it. I wear a size 11 and ordered a large and it is true to my size. The price is very good after seeing what's out there, even though it is on sale now and even cheaper than when I purchased it and it was shipped very quickly. The quality is very good also, similar to what I just saw in a prosthetic/orthotic facility. I would highly recommend this.

Relief!!!
I had been suffering from plantar fasciitis for months. After sleeping all night or even just sitting for over an hour, I would be unable to walk for several minutes until my foot relaxed. The very first morning after wearing this splint all night, I was able to walk without hobbling around holding on to furniture!!! It does take a little getting used to sleeping with it, but I adjusted quickly. I don't wear it very tight - I like to be able to wiggle my foot around a bit so my ankle doesn't get stiff, and it still works great. Once you adjust all the straps the first time, it's easy on/off with the buckles. No problem to walk in it if you have to go to the bathroom during the night. I wish I had gotten this sooner!!!

Great Product at a great price
So far I am highly impressed with this item and it is helping my plantar fasciitis. It is amazing how much more flexible my calf has become with the very gentle stretch this device provides. My heel pain is lessening each day after using this device. There are several reasons why I like this brace. 1st off, it is very comfortable. Secondly, once it is adjusted to fit, to take it on and off is very simple because of the buckles. This is great in the middle of the night when I go to the bathroom and need to take it off, it is quick, simple, and not loud. Also once it is dialed in to a good fit/stretch, you need not readjust each time you don and doff the brace. If i were to do and undo the velcro, it would be loud. My wife appreciates the quietness the brace provides. I suppose I could walk with it, but it isn't designed to do so. There is a traction pad at the bottom of the boot so it is not smooth slippery plastic in case you do decide to walk with it, but I doubt it is good for the boot. Third, the boot is adjustable. Not only can you adjust the amount of dorseflexion at the ankle, but you can also put the wedge underneath front of the foot to promote a bit of MTP extension at the toes to give more of a stretch. Fourth, the cloth parts of the boot can be removed for washing. I haven't had to do that yet, but it is good to know that I could do so. There was a bit of a learning curve for me on the proper use of the splint. At first I pulled up tight on the splint to create a good stretch into dorsiflexion, but this created pressure under the forefoot and was uncomfortable. After an hour or two, I had to take the brace off and its purpose was defeated. Eventually I realized that I could wear it in a loose fit and it would still keep my foot in near 90 degrees. Once wearing it more loosely, it was a lot more comfortable and I could wear it the whole night with ease. For the price, I feel this is an excellent product and would highly recommend it to someone looking for a good resting night splint.
